See the Exhibition: “Thanks-Giving Square: An Idea Becomes a Place”

IMG_3064

Thanks-Giving Square is more than just a downtown Dallas park. It’s a place where we can all stand together on common ground, reflect on gratitude and appreciate the diversity of our community. Through artifacts selected from The Thanks-Giving Foundation’s archive, this special exhibit at the J Erik Jonsson Central Library traces the evolution of Thanks-Giving Square from idea to place. On display are original architectural models by Philip Johnson, primary studies created by international artists and photographs documenting years of initial development. Since 1976 Thanks-Giving Square has served as the soul and spiritual hub of the community; learn about the artistry and inspiration behind this unique Dallas landmark.
