HIGHER GROUND
Thanks-Giving Square – who are we and what do we stand for? We have no political ideology, and no religious ideology. Institutionally our views are neither conservative nor liberal. At Thanks-Giving Square, we welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs – whether cultural, political, spiritual, generational, sexual or otherwise – to gather, reflect, celebrate and grow both personally and collectively.
Our Mission: Coming together on Common Ground, moving together to Higher Ground
Our work can be described as an undertaking of two important goals;
- Coming Together on Common Ground – a convening of the community to negotiate differences and create understanding and appreciation of the diversity present among us.
- Moving Together to Higher Ground – an initiative to lead, inspire and elevate the community to a more morally and ethically perfected state of being.
Our Beliefs: We believe in the power of three simple ideas to elevate Dallas…
- Choose LOVE over HATE
- Get Involved, Make a Difference
- Practice Gratitude
Inclusion is our ideology. If you are a person of goodwill, then you are invited to come together with us on Common Ground, and to move with us to Higher Ground. We hope you will join us on our journey!
