Serving Up Gratitude

LATEST UPDATE: The Thanks-Giving Foundation has raised over $200,000 and has purchased almost 20,000 meals to this point, but hopes to do more.  The goal set at the onset of raising $250,000 and purchasing 25,000 meals is within reach with a little additional assistance from the donor community.  Tax deductible donations for Serving Up  Gratitude can be made at, or by contacting Kyle Ogden, Thanks-Giving Foundation President and CEO, at .

Serving Up Gratitude, an initiative of The Thanks-Giving Foundation, with the assistance of AJC’s Community of Conscience and other partners, is providing nourishment to our hometown healthcare and frontline heroes as a thank you for their courageous fight against COVID-19.

We are purchasing individual meals from local restaurants to deliver to our community’s frontline workers and hope that our initiative, in addition to thanking these heroes, will provide a small measure of much needed support for the beleaguered restaurant industry. Over the next 60 days, we hope to raise at least $250,000 to benefit the restaurant industry and provide 25,000 meals to healthcare workers.

To feed a hero

We welcome funding from foundations, corporations and individuals in the form of meal sponsorship. For every $10 donated, we can provide a meal to a community member on the front lines. Donations can be made through our online form or via check.

To volunteer

To help us serve our mission, we are accepting applications for volunteers on both the leadership and operations front. Your time and energy will go toward spreading the word about our cause and ensuring we are able to meet our goal of feeding the community. Applications can be submitted through our online form.

To nominate a participating restaurant or frontline heroes

If you would like to suggest a restaurant or meal beneficiary, please complete the respective form. We will do our best to accommodate as many requests as possible as the program expands. Nominations can be submitted through our online form for restaurants and frontline helpers.
